Sustainability is front and centre at Bluetree. It replaced plastic for its business card boxes some years ago. It has followed this by eliminating plastic throughout the business, which as stacks of leaflets used to be shrinkwrapped at the point of production has required some lateral thinking.
The roof of the Manvers Way building is now adorned with photovoltaic panels to generate at least some of the energy required on the shop floor. Other electricity is provided by renewable sources. A focus on waste reduction has cut waste in both litho and digital production with any makeready sheets being recycled. Company cars are Teslas.
The product range includes versions made from recycled materials while all remaining carbon emissions are offset through gold standard carbon credits through Achilles as Bluetree strives to be carbon net zero by 2030.
