DST scoops three-year Virgin Media contract

DST will provide print and wider services to Virgin Media as cross market appeal stands out.

DST has secured a three-year contract with Virgin Media for “the production of print and direct marketing material”.

The print and data company has won the business through its Lead Supply Solution. DST will provide Virgin Media with a wide range of services, underpinned by an emphasis on innovation. DST CEO Jeremy Walters says that the Lead Supply Solution is ideal for Virgin Media.

“Our Lead Supply Solution was developed in response to increased client demand for DST and third-party sourced products and services to be delivered through a trusted and dedicated account team,” says Walters. “Virgin Media can expect an unparalleled breadth of services from within our group.”

While the company can call on extensive print production capacity from sites in Bristol, Nottingham and Dagenham, which include Kodak Prosper 5000s at the Bristol and Nottingham factories, Ricoh inkjet at Dagenham and litho and cutsheet digital across the group.

This capacity will meet the majority of the established and anticipated print requirements, third party suppliers will be involved. Some will be existing suppliers to Virgin, others drawn from DST’s audited partners.

What remains consistent is that the business is managed through a single team, regardless of project. This reduces duplication, cuts costs and increases compliance. Once in place, DST will be prepared to spend to fill any gaps or to deliver additional services for Virgin Media.

Since we are at the sharp end, we are well positioned to invest in our infrastructure to help build and execute innovative development plans to deliver on our client’s objectives,” says Walters. “This will achieve considerable savings for strategic clients.”

Virgin Media’s director of acquisition marketing Natasha Oram, expects the approach to deliver innovation and other, unspecified, benefits. “Direct access to a knowledgeable and expert team who always see the bigger picture will help us make smart investments, while increasing the effectiveness of our communications.”
