With the start of the 2026 World Cup around three weeks away, the wall charts are being distributed. A number of printers are producing their own, Witney’s Fineprint and Pollards from Exeter, offering to personalise charts with a customer’s logo, included. These are heading to their customers promoting both their services and engaging with customers.
The sporting wall chart has also been a fixture for paper merchants, distributing to printer customers and foremost among these has been Denmaur. This year to honour team member Warren Curtis, Denmaur’s 2,000 World Cup kits are supporting Prostate Cancer UK.
Curtis received a cancer diagnosis last year after a more routine visit to the doctor where he was encouraged to have a test. Although the was asymptomatic this revealed the early stages of the disease, promoting successful immediate treatment.
Curtis is now encouraging others to also get tested and is raising money for the charity.
Denmaur is getting behind the effort with the World Cup kit. As well as the chart to record the results and fixtures, recipients are being asked to run a sweepstake and to donate a percentage of the proceeds to Prostate Cancer UK.
The A3 wall chart printed on Arctic Paper’s Amber Graphic and an A4 sheet listing the 48 participant countries. The envelope packaging these can be used to draw out the names. If each name drawn costs £2, the winner will receive £30, £15 to the losing finalist and £5 to the third placed team, leaving £46 for the charity. This is the model that Denmaur’s Bardon office has chosen, though there is no limit on the price charged for each team.
The paper was provided without charge by Arctic Paper, while the printing was likewise given free of charge by Potts Print.
The Prostate Cancer UK charity reckons that one in eight men will receive a positive diagnosis during their lifetime. The paper and carton printing sector in the UK is reckoned to employ 70,000 men.
