Stuart Beeson moves from selling anilox technology to flexo printers to running a leading flexo printer.
Woodberry Packaging has appointed Stuart Beeson as managing director of Reelvision Print, its web printing carton company that was acquired in April 2024.
The then owner and managing director Gareth Bakewell stayed to help with the transition before leaving and the business has been operating with an interim managing director until Beeson took up the reins at the start of the year.
He began his 30-year career as a press operator and has most recently been senior vice president in charge of sales for anilox roll specialist Pamarco Europe.
He joins a business that operates there Edale flexo presses used for printing cartons with inline varnishing, creasing and die cutting to deliver finished cartons, sleeves and wallets with a strong presence in pharmaceuticals, veterinary, healthcare and beauty sectors.
Woodberry chairman Mark Kerridge says: “The group acquired Reelvision Print to complement its existing portfolio and bolster its presence in the UK healthcare and pharma sectors. The appointment of a dedicated managing director with Beeson’s experience is a key component of the group’s long term strategy.”
The appointment of a long term permanent managing director paves the way for further investment in digital integration both within the company and with customers. The company’s website has undergone a transformation and in next stage will include customer interactions to meet demands for this kind of technology.
Beeson himself adds: “Having spent decades in the print industry, I admire Reelvision’s agility, and its dedication to the rigorous standards of the pharmaceutical and healthcare markets and am incredibly excited to lead this talented team as we embrace new digital technologies and focus on delivering even greater value to our customers during this period of growth.”
The company employs almost 40 staff at its plant in Haslingden in Lancashire. It promises a ten-day turnaround for print orders and a two-day service for creating samples and prototypes.
“Stuart’s proven track record of strategic leadership and his customer centric approach mirror the values of the Woodberry Group perfectly, and this is an exciting time for everyone involved as we look to build on Reelvision’s reputation for speed and quality,” says Kerridge.
