How understanding data can help understand your business
Heidelberg is collaborating with the BPIF on a webinar on 20 October focusing on the value of data, what it is, how to collect it and how to use data to improve your business.
The use of data is increasingly important to improving performance and is key to Heidelberg’s advances in this area. Push to Stop uses data about each product for example to extract information to automate make ready and job set up. Data can and should be used to make improvements to how a business is managed and this is the theme of the webinar.
The presentation will go through the benefits of analysing data, in terms perhaps of reducing costs and increasing customer engagement. It will tackle the choice of data; which statistics are important to help a manager do their job effectively, what software can be used and stressing the importance of not over complicating the process.
Data analytics is not about poring over spreadsheets to spot anomalies or connections: that should be left to the software and data should be presented visually on dashboards to improve decision making and to uncover where bottlenecks occur and where efficiency gains can be made.
Speakers on the day will be Carolina de Viterbo, product manager for Print Shop Analytics across the Heidelberg group, and representing one of the new talents at the company; Paul Chamberlain, head of software solutions for Heidelberg UK, who has rather more experience; and Matthew Peacock, business process improvement special adviser, representing the BPIF and founding lean specialist with Vision in Print.
The event starts at 11.00 on the day. Registration is required, here: Data for Better Performance.
