Antalis has completed the reorganisation of the portfolio of designer paper brands acquired after the collapse of ArjoWiggins.
The papermaker had previously sold the papers through Antalis and its closure has left the merchants needing to source production from other mills to continue the brands with no drop off in performance or quality.
This process has been completed along with positioning the papers under the ‘Creative Power by Antalis’ umbrella. This covers Conqueror, the Curious and KeayColour collections. Olin, Opale, Rives and Creative Labels. The papers are suitable for offset and digital printing.
Antalis is not declaring where the papers will now be made, only that extensive testing has taken place to ensure continuity. Antalis Papers business director Xavier Jouvet says this has included new shades being introduced to what used to available as Pop’Set and is now a 26-shade collection of uncoated papers gathered as Olin Colours. There are seven new colours. “Extensive pre production tests have been carried out to ensure perfect colour matching of the popular Pop’Set shades, combined with new colour additions that complete the exciting new Olin Colours assortment,” he says.
The Olin family covers Olin Design its white papers and boards in four shades and three finishes,
Olin Millesime, a smooth set of Bristol boards and Olin Origins, its recycled material.
Keaycolour remains at 45 shades matched to ensure no changes from the colours available previously. Likewise the papers in the Curious Collection remain as before, including translucent grades.
Conqueror should be exact the same paper as made at the ArjoWiggins Stoneywood Mill near Aberdeen before the administration. Antalis says the paper uses exactly the same recipe, continues to come in three finishes and six shades. Each is available with or without the distinctive Conqueror watermark. An optimised version for digital printing is also available.
