The badge and labels producer moves to unattended cutting with Intec investment.
Diametric, one of the UK’s leading producers of nameplates and badges has begun operation on a Plockmatic ColorCut FB9500 ProT flatbed cutter. Production began two days after the machine was delivered to its factory at Newport on the Isle of Wight.
The investment adds to an operation that already includes flatbed cutting, including a Kongsberg X20, and adds to the range of materials that can be processed. Diametric services a number of industries with different styles of name badge, with a particular strength in the automotive sector. This includes flat and domed labels, labels on metallic and different types of plastic substrate. The company also produces flat panel membrane switches and touch pads. The autofeeder can be loaded with up to 1,000 sheets and once set up the cutter can operate without supervision unlike other cutting tables. Sheet to sheet accuracy is delivered through a Rear Mark scanning system. A QR code ready can access job details on the fly and make the necessary adjustments to keep the machine running.

articular skill set that Diametric has. Printing includes screen and inkjet printing, with a.Natgraph UV dryer a recent addition to its screen printing capacity and a further Mimaki UV flatbed adding to digital print capability.
