The company has been a keen supporter of the event, but illness forces it to cancel participation in 2025.
One of the staunchest supporters of the Print Show has been forced by circumstance to withdraw from this year’s event.
Consequently Liyu England will not have the largest stand at the NEC as it has in recent years. A spokesman says: “This year, however, we have had to make the incredibly difficult decision not to exhibit.
“Many in the industry will know that our managing director, Eddie Tucker – the driving force behind Liyu England – has recently undergone a stem cell transplant following not just one, but incredibly two forms of stage 4 cancer diagnosis. On the advice of his medical consultants he cannot yet attend busy trade events or public spaces while he continues his recovery.
“The decision from the Liyu team including Liyu International is that it just won’t be the same without Eddie at the show and it would have a sombre vibe without him there. While we are disappointed not to join our peers in person this year, we are deeply grateful for the overwhelming support and understanding we have received, both from the Print Show organisers and from so many of our customers and partners.”
Two of Liyu England’s distributors, Atech and Perfect Colours will be on the floor totally about the large format inkjet machines while Liyu England itself remains open with a showroom at Ormskirk and the Liyu International showroom in Dusseldorf.
The range of machines are noted for their speed, versatility of substrate thanks to UV cured inks. The range is split into three designs the flagship Signature series presses which use Ricoh printheads and include neon and white inks and which are designed for highest productivity; the Platinum models designed for in the field upgrades with additional printheads on flatbed roll to roll ad hybrid machines and the X-Line family as its entry level printers for small spaces.
The spokesman adds: “Our absence from the Print Show this year is temporary but our presence in the print industry is as strong as ever.
