The Italian show may be the first general post Covid print show when it opens next year.
Print4All has a strong chance of becoming the first real life exhibition for the commercial print industry since the pandemic when it opens its doors at the Fiero Milano in Italy on 3 May next year.
Fespa will take place in October this year, the Hunkeler Innovation Days in February next year and Labelexpo in April. All are sector specific, leaving the Italian event to become the first to appeal for commercial and carton printers following the postponement of events in the US and Australia.
The event will run over four days, alongside related events for packaging and food processing and picks up themes addressed at the recent Future Factory conference. This ranges over sustainability, digitisation and service, which constitute the major issues that printers and converters have to face.
These have also emerged from the extensive activity that the organiser and Italian trade associations have engaged in. Acimga (Italian equipment manufacturers) has staged the Future Factory conference and runs a series of international roadshow events; Argi, representing suppliers of equipment and consumables, has been running “Let’s shorten the distance” seminars and training courses designed to culminate at the Print4All exhibition.
President of Acimga Daniele Barbui says: “Thanks to Future Factory, in the last two years we have met in 15 countries, creating relationships, gathering ideas, interest and content that will flow into our exhibition, because we are sure that Print4All is the hub that was missing for the sector.”
The show aims to be an educational event around the sustainability issue and the increasing impact of digitisation. Without further details, the organiser says: “The innovative approach goes beyond the traditional segmentation of the printing sectors and offers itself as an integrated platform dedicated to every printing method on every type of media and material.”
The advent of Industry 4.0 will be key. “Print4All will be the gym in which to practice and invite customers to discover the advantages and profitability of a new way of doing business, which will soon become the only one possible.”
Since Covid-19 the rules regulating exhibitions have changed, there will be no double-decked stands, for example. However, the large exhibition and networking spaces present at the last Print4All show in 2018, will return.
